DR. WILLIAM CLARK is a renowned expert in nonprofit sustainability, fundraising strategies, and leadership development. With over 15 years of experience in city government, nonprofit administration, and public housing operations, he has dedicated his life's work to empowering nonprofit leaders and helping organizations become sustainable by developing diverse revenue sources.


As the principal of Eli Patrick & Co., a trusted consulting company based in Hartford, CT, Dr. Clark provides invaluable guidance and expertise to nonprofit organizations. His passion for sustainability and strategic fundraising enables nonprofits to create long-term impact and continue their vital work. With a track record of success, Dr. Clark has assisted over 250 nonprofits in raising over $900 million in grants and government contracts, fostering financial stability and growth.


Before founding Eli Patrick & Co., Dr. Clark held key leadership roles that shaped his nonprofit management and community development expertise. As the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Career Resources, Inc., he spearheaded the expansion of workforce development and training programs while also developing earned income businesses to ensure the organization's financial sustainability. During his tenure as the Director of the Workforce Solutions Collaborative, Dr. Clark led transformative grant-making efforts, supporting job seekers, and promoting economic empowerment. His strategic decision-making and dedication to workforce development initiatives significantly impacted the community. As the Assistant Managing Director of the Office of Economic Opportunity for the City of Philadelphia, Dr. Clark played a pivotal role in fostering economic inclusion and generating opportunities for minority-owned (MBEs), women-owned (WBEs), and veteran-owned (VBEs) businesses. His visionary leadership created $1.5 billion in economic development, demonstrating his commitment to empowering underrepresented entrepreneurs.


Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Clark is a respected lecturer and author, focusing on nonprofit and church leadership. His books, including "Leadership Development in Your Nonprofit" and "Sustainability: Developing a Sustainable Faith-Based or Nonprofit Organization," provide practical insights and strategies for achieving long-term organizational sustainability.
Dr. Clark's dedication to the nonprofit sector goes beyond his consulting work. He founded the Change Maker Forum, a transformative platform for nonprofit leaders to connect, collaborate, and share best practices. Additionally, he serves as the lead pastor of Living Faith Church in Hartford, CT, leveraging his leadership expertise and commitment to faith and community to drive positive change.


With a Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree from Regent University and a Master of Leadership Development degree from Penn State University, Dr. William Clark brings a wealth of knowledge and academic rigor to his work.
